Update and upcoming plans

Hi! It’s been a while since I wrote a post on this blog. To be completely honest, this is because I lost focus and didn’t really feel like staring at a computer screen in the evenings, after I’m done with my day job. I do research as a computer scientist at Ghent University, which means that I spend most of my days sitting at a desk. Now, since almost all COVID-restrictions are gone in Europe, I am also starting to regain energy at expanding this blog, albeit with a bit of a different approach.

Over the last two years, I have started to gain a massive interest in running and traveling, which means that I will probably shift focus of this blog and tell you something about the trips and travels that I’m doing, and explain to you what my current running goals and plans are. I will probably still write about computer science related topics occasionally (whenever I discover something new and interesting that I would like to share), but only when I really feel like it.

Up until now, I have dedicated most of my holidays on travelling to different countries in Europe and I had a really good time in most of the countries that I visited. Over the last two weeks, I did the biggest adventure up until now and did a magnificent road trip through Bulgaria, Greece and North-Macedonia with two of my best friends 😀.

The three of us sitting in a bar in Sofia while it’s pouring outside. Nevertheless, we were still having fun! 😂

Over the coming weeks, I will write and tell you about what we did and visited on our road trip and all of the funny (and less funny) things we encountered along the way 😅. Some things might come in handy if you’re also planning to visit some of these countries in the near future. The following photo gallery is a selection of highlights that we’ve seen along the way. Make sure to follow and come back in a few days if you’re curious to know all about them! If you have suggestions or questions, feel free to leave a comment! I will do my best to answer them as soon as possible 😁.
